The Office of Government and Community Relations is part of the Office of Strategic Initiatives and Innovation, led by J. Michael Haynie, Vice Chancellor. Eric was appointed associate vice president of Government and Community Relations in 2011. He is responsible for developing and implementing the University’s governmental, political and community relations strategy, and ensuring SU’s presence in the city, regionally and nationally through engagement with elected officials, government agencies, not-for-profit organizations and civic and community organizations. Eric previously served the University's mission as director of regional programs and engagement, and prior to that as project manager for the Connective Corridor. He resides in Cazenovia with his wife and daughters.

Lori Levengood

Lori joined Syracuse University and the Office of Government and Community Relations in 2000.  She is the point person of contact for the office and provides support for each member of the team when called upon.  She is a graduate of Liberty University with a B.S. in Accounting.  Lori resides in Tully, NY, with her husband and two children.  She is an avid fan of Syracuse University sports, enjoys her golden retrievers, and loves to travel, bake and read.
