Westcott Street Cultural Fair

The Westcott Street Cultural Fair is an annual, one-day celebration of the diversity and uniqueness of the Westcott neighborhood through its culture-visual and performing arts, food, service organizations, and activities geared to families and SU and Le Moyne students returning to the neighborhood. The fair attracts more than 8,000 people annually to the Westcott Business District in mid-September for a day filled with great sounds, sights, tastes and more. For over 15 years, the Westcott Street Cultural Fair has become a tradition in the neighborhood. Since 1992, the fair makes a statement of neighborhood pride. It is an opportunity for Westcott to tell the Syracuse community-come visit us; we are a great place to live, work, shop and recreate.

The fair is planned, organized and put on by an all-volunteer committee made up of neighborhood residents and staff from SU and the City. Planning Committee members solicit funds and volunteers, allocating these resources to a variety of activities offered on the day of the fair, including performing arts, activities for children of all ages, a parade, opening ceremony, children's races and more.

For further information, or to find out how you can get involved as a performer, artist, crafter or volunteer, please contact the Office of Government and Community Relations.
